Postdoctoral Fellow - Petroleum Engineer (PNGE11-0011)
The West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Fellow/Petroleum Engineer for the Petroleum Engineering and Analytics Research Lab (PEARL) at WVU. This position will provide research assistance in managing all aspects of the research group at the lab; help manage existing Smart Field, CO2 Sequestration and Unconventional Reservoir projects, performing research, writing reports, and making presentations; and assist in securing new projects and writing grant proposals. Efforts will directly advance the objectives of PEARL in maintaining a competitive edge as pioneers in the application of Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining (AI&DM) in the petroleum industry and the development of new technologies.
A Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, or closely related area; experience with reservoir engineering, simulation and modeling; and background in Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining technologies are required for consideration of this position.
